Tahj Kumar is the Lead Tutor for our Maths Methods 1&2 and Specialist Maths 1&2 programs. He achieved a perfect ATAR score of 99.95 with a raw score of 50 in VCE Mathematical Methods. Outside of academics, Tahj is a keen musician and has performed as a saxophonist and principal musician in the Melbourne Grammar symphony orchestra. He also volunteers every week for the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Tahj was previously taught by Derrick and was selected to join the team at Derrick Ha Student Coaching Services because of his academic talent, as well as his exceptional ability to explain concepts in a simple manner. He is an excellent educator who brings his own flair to the teaching and mentoring role.
